'Blaring' wildfire burns close to homes

A wildfire which could be seen close to homes started "blaring" within minutes before spreading quickly, a resident has said.

The wildfire, near Tylorstown, Rhondda Cynon Taf, started on Wednesday 9 April.

Fire crews have been battling raging wildfires across Wales this week, with one Ceredigion councillor describing firefighters "on their knees".

Wildfires also make crews less able to respond to a property fire or a road accident.

But the workload and danger for fires crews seems to be getting worse.
