Watch: Runaway rhea caught on camera by reporter
Aerial footage showed a runaway rhea walking in a field near a village after being tracked down by a BBC reporter.
The five-foot (1.5m) tall bird has been on the loose near Bluntisham in Cambridgeshire for about two weeks.
The large flightless bird originates from South America, and is related to ostriches and emus.
BBC Cambridgeshire reporter Tom Jackson said: "I went out this morning to see if we were able to find it and, within two minutes, it was actually there. I couldn't believe my eyes."
No one has yet laid claim to the feathered friend but as the birds can sometimes be dangerous, with a powerful kick, people have been warned not to get too close.
