Murder arrest after teen dies in 'targeted attack'

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a teenager who was hit and killed by a car.
The 19-year-old victim died at the scene of the crash which happened at 20:10 BST on Monday on Porritt Street, Bury.
Det Supt Wesley Knights from Greater Manchester Police said: "I would like to reassure the public that this is a targeted attack and there is no wider threat to the community."
Officers have arrested a man aged in his 30s who remains in custody for questioning.
Det Supt Knights said: "I would like to express my deepest condolences to the family of the deceased during this incredibly difficult time."
He asked witnesses or anyone with video footage from the area at the time to contact police.
