A man has died after he was hit by a van on a residential street in East Yorkshire.

Emergency services were called to Berriman Drive in Driffield shortly before midday on Thursday. A 64-year-old pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, Humberside Police said.

The road was closed for a short time to "allow emergency services to work safely" but had since reopened.

The force has appealed for witnesses to come forward or anyone who has dashcam footage of the scene at the time of the incident.
