Tribute paid to driver who died in A14 layby crash

Tributes have been paid to a man who died when his car crashed into a lorry while it was parked in a layby on the A14.

John Vincent, 61, from Ipswich, was declared dead at the scene, Suffolk Police said.

It happened on the westbound carriageway between junction 50, for Stowmarket, and junction 49, for Haughley, just before 23:45 GMT on 20 February.

Mr Vincent's family said he was "a loving father, brother and grandad who will be sorely missed for all the joy and laughter" he "brought into everybody's lives".

Police have asked anyone who witnessed the crash to get in touch with them.
