LA fires are like a 'Hollywood disaster movie'
A Middlesbrough man now living in Los Angeles says "it's heartbreaking" to witness the fires which have caused him to flee his home.
Paul Barron, from Teesville, has lived in LA for 12 years and had to evacuate his home on foot with his partner and two cats.
They are now safe in a hotel, with Paul describing the embers as "like snowflakes on fire".
However the 58-year-old says they were "the lucky ones", with people they know having lost their homes, businesses and lives.
