Officer uses drug dealer's own bike to catch him
A drug dealer has been jailed for eight months after a police officer caught him by using the bicycle he discarded.
Officers were also able to find drugs he had hidden in the process after they arrested him.
Justice Oyedokun, 22, was stopped by officers on Romney Road in Greenwich, south-east London on 9 December 2023, but ran from officers, leaving his bike behind.
Sgt Alan Cooley then got on the suspect's bike and pursued him, catching up with him a few minutes later when he was arrested and a quantity of cannabis seized.
On 20 January 2025, Oyedokun, also from Greenwich, was sentenced after he pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply a Class B drug.
