How I 'erupted' at 16 and attacked my mum, by poet

Poet Connor Allen has spoken out about the attack on his mother that led to his arrest.

The former Wales' children's laureate said he was grateful she called the police on him.

Now 32, he committed the assault aged 16 and pleaded guilty to assault, battery and grievous bodily harm in court.

He was given a second chance after an intervention by those closest to him.
