Woman punched and glassed during street attack

A woman was injured when she was punched in the face and hit by a glass bottle on a street in Devon.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the incident happened at about 02:45 GMT on 8 December outside Bradley's estate agent on East Street in Okehampton.

The force said the victim was punched by an unknown man before being struck with a glass bottle, leaving her with a fracture and a wound which required stitches.

Police added CCTV footage showed members of the public helped the woman and officers would like to speak to anyone who assisted her, or who had any other information about the incident.
