A nine-year-old schoolgirl has said appearing in Paddington in Peru was "really cool".

Tallulah, from Bournemouth, plays a young Judy Brown and filmed her scenes at Elstree Studios in London last October.

The film was released on the 3 November and stars Hugh Bonneville, Emily Mortimer and Olivia Colman.

Lucy Wright-Booth, Tallulah's mother, said: "We all went to the cinema, the day Paddington came out to watch it, it was very exciting and we are all very proud of her."

Tallulah plays a young Judy Brown, the daughter of the family who takes Paddington Bear in.

"I was there for a few hours filming a flashback scene," Tallulah said.

"I did the same take, over and over again, until I got it right - so there were a few takes but it was really fun."

She said she got to the cinema 20 minutes early to see the film because she was in the opening scene.

"It was really cool to see myself up there," she added.

Ms Wright-Booth said: "Tallulah is with an agency, they send through a brief of what they were looking for and they believed she fitted the brief.

"Unfortunately I was unable to see if Elstree was full of glitz and glamour as I could only drop Tallulah off but we hope this is the start of a glittering career."

"She's done a couple of things now but Paddington has been the most exciting."
