Primary school 'loved' recording Christmas single
A primary school headteacher said he was "really proud" of his school for recording a charity single.
Winton Primary School in Bournemouth wrote and recorded a song titled Things That Remind Me Of Christmas.
Head teacher Neil Tarchetti said the whole school was involved and the children enjoyed feeling like they were in a real recording studio.
"We've got a great bunch [of children] here and they got really excited by this... they loved doing it," he said.
Mr Tarchetti said the idea to record a Christmas single came from Melanie Elliott, a music teacher at the school.
"She worked with some of the children in her after school clubs to come up with the lyrics," he said.
"That's where the title came from. She started off talking to them about things that reminded them of Christmas and it sort of built from there, and a lot of the lyrics are direct quotes from things that they came up with."

Mrs Elliot then wrote the music for it and decided she wanted to give the students a proper recording experience.
"She wanted to give the children an opportunity to be recording artists," said Mr Tarchetti.
"We set up a recording studio in the music room and one of our teaching assistants is a music producer, so he bought in a special valve microphone, they had the headphones, it was the proper experience for them."
He said the track they produced was "great", and had gone down very well with audiences.
"We noticed at some of the performances we've done, the little siblings, the toddlers and the parents who come to watch, are already singing along because they've picked it up," he said.
"It's so catchy."
