Three men have been arrested after a man was reportedly stabbed in the neck in a park in Crawley, police say.

A 21-year-old man from Crawley attended hospital on Thursday shortly after 23:30 BST after the alleged incident in Memorial Gardens.

Two 20-year-old men, from Croydon and East Grinstead, and a 21-year-old man from Crawley were arrested on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm with intent and remain in custody, Sussex Police said.

The man's injuries are not considered life-threatening, the force added.

Officers were still in Memorial Gardens on Friday morning but have since left the scene.

Sussex Police Det Ch Ins Pauline Lane said all parties are believed to be known to each other.
