About 150 tractors decorated in Christmas lights took part in a procession through the Yorkshire Wolds.

The tractors set off from Driffield, making their way through Wilfred Scruton, Wold Newton, Hunmanby, Burton Fleming, Rudston, Kilham, Langtoft and Foxholes.

Nicola Knaggs, one of the organisers, said some of the drivers had spent hundreds of pounds to make their attractors look "absolutely brilliant".

The event, on Sunday, raised funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Kilham Playing Field Association.

Ms Knaggs said the air ambulance was vital to the community.

She said: "We all, unfortunately, know of someone who's probably had to use that service, whether it's friends, family or our neighbours or someone within our community.

"So it really is a vital service to our area, and something that we need funds for."
