Three held on suspicion of murder over man's death

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was fatally injured in Scarborough in the early hours of Saturday morning.
North Yorkshire Police said officers attended a report of a collision between a white Audi car and a man on Silver Street shortly before 01:45 GMT.
The man was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.
The Audi was subsequently found by police around half a mile away on Peasholm Gardens, and three men were arrested on suspicion of murder.
A scene guard remains in place where the collision took place, a police spokesperson said.
"We understand that people will be shocked and concerned to hear what has happened overnight," they added.
"High-visibility police patrols will be in Scarborough throughout the weekend to provide reassurance to the local community."
Anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen something related to the incident has been urged to contact police.
The force said it had made a mandatory referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
Police forces are only required to refer themselves to the IOPC under certain circumstances, however North Yorkshire Police has not indicated what triggered the referral.
