Man attacked in street with own walking stick

A man in his 30s was left injured after being attacked with his own walking stick by another man on a street in Scarborough, police have said.
The victim suffered bruising to his face in the assault, which took place on Garfield Road, near the junction with Franklin Street, at about 13:40 GMT on Thursday, according to North Yorkshire Police.
His attacker was described as being in his late 20s, wearing a dark green waterproof jacket and a navy baseball cap, and he was believed to be with a woman of a similar age.
A force spokesperson asked anyone who saw what happened, or who had information that could help officers in their investigations, to get in touch.
