A teenager has been arrested in connection with an alleged stabbing in Edinburgh which left an 18-year-old man in hospital.

Officers closed Bath Street in Portobello for several hours following an incident on Friday evening.

The man was taken to hospital with serious, but not life threatening injuries, while detectives appealed to trace three men who left the scene on dark-coloured e-bikes.

Police Scotland confirmed that a 17-year-old boy had been arrested in connection with the incident.

A spokesperson for the force said inquiries were ongoing.
