Eight fire crews from Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire were sent to the scene.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said everyone in the property was accounted for and an investigation would start "in due course".

Crews left the scene at 22:40 but returned on Thursday morning after reports of smoke coming from the property.

Firefighters remained in Fairfax Road damping down the scene, a spokesperson said.
