Police said officers were also investigating an incident at The Oaklands pub in Oaklands Avenue, Littleover, earlier on Sunday.
Officers were called to the pub at 18:00 to reports of men carrying knives.
Police said no-one was injured but had appealed for anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage in the area of Oaklands Avenue to come forward.
The force added officers would remain in and around the area, and urged the community to approach them if they wished to talk about what happened or if they had any relevant information.
After the latest arrests, Det Ch Insp Claudia Musson said: "The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Dale is still very much ongoing.
"We are keen to speak to the occupants of a Renault Megane which was seen in the area of Stenson Road. The occupants are believed to have witnessed the incident.
"Another young life has been lost and we are keen to speak to anyone who has any information that would assist our inquiries."
