Three men have been charged with the murder of a teenager who died after being stabbed.

Eddie Kinuthia, 19, was attacked on 21 July, 2023, just yards from his home in the Grosvenor Road area of St Pauls, Bristol.

Zachariah Talbert Young, 26, of Easton, Paul Elijah Hayden, 21, of Hanham and Cartell Williams, 28, of no fixed abode, have all been charged and appeared before Bristol Magistrates' Court on Friday.

The trio were remanded into custody pending a Crown Court hearing.

The charges follow a complex 18-month investigation, Avon and Somerset Police said.

Det Ch Insp Mark Almond Mr Kinuthia's death "not only devastated his family but shocked the whole community".

"I would like to pay tribute to Eddie's family, who have shown such dignity and patience during our investigation.

"Our aim has always been to get justice for Eddie," he added.

Police said Mr Young and Mr Hayden had also been charged with attempted murder in connection with an incident where a man in his late teens was found with stab wounds at the junction of Easton Road and Easton Way on 2 February, 2024.
