The crash caused severe delays for drivers heading into Bristol city centre

A main route into Bristol city centre has reopened after a three-vehicle crash caused long delays.

Following the collision on the A4032 Newfoundland Circus, near Cabot Circus, at about 16:00 GMT on Wednesday, one person was freed from their vehicle by Avon Fire and Rescue Service.

Traffic was diverted off the M32 at junction three for St Pauls while the road was cleared.

First Bus warned passengers to expect delays as a number of its services were impacted.
