David Wallace Lockhart reports live from New York City

For the 27th year running, New Yorkers gathered at 6th Avenue in Manhattan for the culmination of the New York City Tartan Week Mod.

The event celebrates the Big Apple's links to Scotland and welcomes participants from all over the world.

The march was presided over by actor Alan Cumming who was this year's Grand Marshall - following in the footsteps of Scots like Billy Connolly, Brian Cox and KT Tunstall.
