Mono Lake: How to save an endangered wonder of nature

Mono Lake, the spectacular Dead Sea of California, is a million-year-old wonder of nature, beloved for its eerie tufa towers and its delicate saline ecosystem. Its future is uncertain though. Now the Kutzadika Paiute Tribe (also spelled Kootzaduka) and a citizen group, the Mono Lake Commitee, are trying to save the ancient lake.
