Biden, Harris greet freed prisoners on return to the US

Three US citizens who were being held in Russia have arrived at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, as part of the biggest prisoner swap since the Cold War.

Video shows Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich, former US marine Paul Whelan and Russian-American journalist Alsu Kurmasheva being greeted by the US President, Vice President and their families on the tarmac.

The prisoner exchange saw 24 people released in total - 16 detainees from the West and eight Russians released from prisons in the US, Norway, Germany, Poland and Slovenia.
