FBI releases new video in hunt for 6 January pipe bomb suspect

The FBI has released new surveillance footage in a bid to gather more information in its four-year hunt for a suspect who placed pipe bombs near the Democratic National Committee and Republican National Committee headquarters on the night before 6 January 2021 when the riot on the US Capitol took place.

The pipe bombs were safely deactivated and did not explode. Despite an extensive investigation and a $500,000 (£402,000) reward, the suspect remains unidentified.

Authorities hope the new video will jog memories and lead to new information.
