Sign language fitness class breaking down barriers
A weekly fitness class is using British Sign Language (BSL) to break down communication barriers for the deaf community.
Held at the Birmingham Deaf Cultural Centre, the free sessions use coloured lights, countdown clocks and BSL instructions to help people improve their health.
Personal trainer Valentina Willats, who is hearing-impaired, leads the classes and is encouraging the local deaf community to take part.
"It's a place for everyone to come together, it helps people to be more healthy," she said.
