Watch: Shoplifter hides stolen goods in pushchair

A shoplifter has been jailed after stealing hundreds of pounds worth of goods from city shops, including in one instance where she used a pushchair to conceal items.

Lorraine Williams, 52, of Eaglesthorpe, New England, Peterborough, hid £72.50 worth of items in the buggy after visiting Poundland at the city's Brotherhood Retail Park on Sunday.

She was also arrested over the theft of more than £466 worth of alcohol from a Tesco store in Hampton in January, after trying to conceal the goods inside a shopping trolley.

Williams appeared at Peterborough Magistrates' Court on Monday, where she admitted two counts of theft and was sentenced to nine months in prison.
