Bangor man recalls extreme conditions in Korean War
As the 75th anniversary of the beginning of the Korean War approaches, memories of the "extreme conditions" remain vivid for 97-year-old Albert Morrow from Bangor.
Mr Morrow joined the Royal Ulster Rifles (RUR) as an ambulance driver after watching soldiers return from World War Two.
He told BBC News NI he had never even heard of Korea, let alone know what would await him.
Through freezing temperatures, rough terrain, attacks and great loss, he said he was lucky to make it home.
