City's yarnbombers set woolly world record
A team of knitters, crocheters and quilters have set a new world record with a display of Christmas-themed post box toppers.
Keen crafters from St Albans Postboxes put 102 different creations on show to take the Guinness World Record under a newly created category: the largest display of textile post box toppers in one place.
The knitted works of art adorned post boxes across the Hertfordshire city and surrounding villages throughout December and have raised more than £30,000 for local charities.
Clare Suttie, from St Albans Postboxes, said group members were "thrilled" they were now Guinness World Record title holders.
