'Are you going to be shipped back home?'

As the US prepares to celebrate St Patrick's Day and its links to the island of Ireland, Irish immigrants living in America say attitudes to immigration are changing.

An Irish immigration lawyer said anxiety within the immigrant community has been "bubbling up" since the US presidential election.

Barmen Chris Devenny and Michael McMahon run the Celtic House, an Irish bar and restaurant in the suburbs of Washington DC.

They both have US citizenship, but when they first arrived in America they lived there illegally.

They told BBC News NI that President Donald Trump's policies could mean their route to permanent residency may no longer be available to young Irish immigrants.
