Arrest after man killed in crash with three cars near Nantwich
GoogleA man has died and a woman was seriously hurt after a crash involving three cars in Cheshire.
Police said a Honda Accord, a Nissan Pixo and a Land Rover Discovery collided on Haymoor Green Road in Blakelow, near Nantwich, on Thursday.
The driver of the Nissan, a 59-year-old man from Oakmere, died in hospital, and a female passenger remains in serious but stable condition.
A Crewe man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
The 38-year-old, who was also held on suspicion of drink driving, remains in custody, Cheshire Police said.
A second man was also taken to hospital after the crash, which happened at about 20:40 GMT.
A man and a woman from the Land Rover Discovery are believed to have suffered minor injuries, the force said.
It has appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
