Shirebrook

Police say there had been an incident in or around The Gate Inn pub on Saturday evening.

Police said two men had been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.

Centres in Alfreton, Ashbourne, Glossop, Long Eaton, Matlock, Shirebrook and Wirksworth will close.

The final phase will see an events hub built in Shirebrook's Market Place.

Council leader Steve Fritchley and his deputy Duncan McGregor say they will "go out as a team".

In the coming days, shelters are being added to semi-permanent bus stops near to the market place.

Former miners will receive on average an extra £116 a week from a pension fund.

The new pavilion will provide Shirebrook with a new café, tourist information centre and public toilets.
