Van driver critical after A90 collision with lorry

A driver is in a critical condition after his van was involved in a collision with a lorry on the A90 in Angus.

Police said the accident happened on the southbound Aberdeen to Dundee road, at Brechin, at about 14:45 on Friday.

The driver of the HGV did not require medical treatment.

The road was closed for almost seven hours to allow crash investigators to conduct inquiries.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have dashcam footage is urged to contact police.
