Road reopens after huge water main burst

A major road has reopened after a huge water main burst shut the route and left homes without water.
The westbound carriageway of the A4 Keynsham Bypass, near Bristol, was closed on Tuesday morning, with heavy traffic back to Saltford.
It is not known how many homes have been affected, but Bristol Water confirmed it has a crew at the scene and is making efforts to redirect water from other areas into Keynsham and Saltford.
Bottled water deliveries have been organised for the most vulnerable customers, the company has said.

Repairs to the water main are ongoing, with one lane reopened on the A4 in both directions.
