Woman arrested in connection with death of man in Ayr

A 40-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the death of a man in Ayr at the weekend.

Mark Blackwood, 42, was found seriously injured in a flat in the town's Glenmuir Place on Saturday at 20:10.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say inquiries are ongoing.

They previously asked anyone who was in the area at the time and may have information or CCTV footage to contact them.
