Police have warned drivers to avoid the Humber Bridge after a crash on the northbound carriageway

Parts of the Humber Bridge have reopened following a crash, officials have said.

One lane of the A15 northbound carriageway, between Barton and Hessle, remains closed.

A Humber Bridge spokesperson said: "One lane has been reopened whilst we continue to recover vehicles involved in the earlier road traffic collision."

Humberside Police warned motorists to avoid the area where possible. The BBC has contacted the force for further details of the incident.
