A priest in County Armagh has said the local community is in shock after a father and son were killed in a crash.

Peter Devlin and his son Loughlin died when an Audi and a Mercedes collided outside the village of Killylea on Friday.

Four other people, including a baby, were taken to hospital.

One woman suffered serious injuries and is in a critical condition.

Father Sean Moore said the thoughts of everyone in the community were with the loved ones of the men who died.

He also condemned what he described as misinformation on social media about the crash.

"It is an awful shock to the community, the community is in total shock," he told BBC News NI.

Fr Moore said the Devlin family were well known in the community, where Peter worked as a painter.

The priest said prayers would be said for the men and their family in the local parish on Sunday evening.

The deaths brought the total number of people killed in Northern Ireland's roads in 2024 to 67.

Sarah Duffy, mayor of Armagh, Banbridge, and Craigavon, described what happened as heartbreaking.

The Killylea Road, which was closed after the crash, has now fully reopened.

Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
