Road closures have been put in place following a crash involving two cars in Newquay, Cornwall.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the crash happened on Rialton Road at about 09:30 GMT.

Police said emergency services were at the scene and two men had been taken to hospital with injuries which were "not thought to be life threatening or life changing at this time".

"Local road closures remain in place," police said.

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service said crews took the two patients to Treslike Hospital.

They added: "We sent two double-crewed land ambulances and an operations officer to the scene."
