Six people arrested over abduction of man in Dublin

Five men and a woman have been arrested in Dublin over the alleged abduction of a man in the city.
More than 100 police searched several homes in the greater Blanchardstown area on Saturday morning.
A house suspected of being the location where the man was held against his will has been sealed off and is being forensically examined, Irish broadcaster RTE is reporting.
Earlier this week, drugs and firearms were seized as part of the investigation.

RTE reports that a man was lured to a meeting but was attacked, abducted, held against his will.
It says he is understood to have been burned and suffered serious non-fatal life-long injuries during the attack, which continued for a number of hours.
