A man has been charged with murdering a 19-year-old who was stabbed to death on a night out.

Matthew Daulby from Liverpool was found with knife wounds after an "ongoing disturbance" in Ormskirk, Lancashire, on 29 July 2023, police said.

Thomas Dures, of Whalley Drive, Aughton, is due to appear at Preston Magistrates' Court on Thursday charged with his murder.

In a tribute after Mr Daulby's death, his family described him as "compassionate, loving and funny".

They said he had "a bright future ahead of him".

"He had a zest for life and was always looking forward to holidays with his family and friends," they added.
