A driver being pursued by police crashed into a lamppost, a bin and a bollard in Stafford town centre, before they and their passengers fled the scene.

The grey Audi was driven through the town centre. before wreaking havoc in Market Square just after 21:30 BST on Saturday, Staffordshire Police said.

Officers are now hunting the occupants of the car as part of investigations into the crash.

No one was injured, the force added.
