A quacker of a shot: "Photographing a rainbow in Dalmuir Park, I was briefly aware of what I assumed to be a seagull or pigeon flying quickly through the frame," says Stuart Neville. "Only when I got home did I see that it was a duck, perfectly positioned and in a pleasing shape."

"This was taken in Glenfinnan and is the closest I have been to the magnificent white-tailed eagle," says Iain Donnachie. "We were blessed with some incredible opportunities to capture a few shots of this one perched in a pine tree overlooking the loch."
