Teens kick victims in head and film blackmail video

Two teenage girls aged 14 and 13 have pleaded guilty to assaults including at a school and college in Bridgend where victims were kicked in the head and blackmailed.

One victim was forced to kiss the girls' feet, the youth court at Cardiff Magistrates' Court heard, and was then threatened with the release of a video of the incident.

Four different victims were attacked in four separate incidents between 2 and 4 March at Brynteg Comprehensive School, Bridgend College, Pyle Railway Station, and another location in Bridgend, the court was told.

One victim was pushed to the floor and kicked "multiple times", including in the head, leaving them with concussion, bruising and a bloody nose.

In another incident, the two girls told another victim to kiss their shoes or they would be "beaten up".

The incident was recorded on a phone, the court heard, and the victim was told to pay the defendants or they would share the video.

A separate assault saw another victim pulled to the floor and "punched in the head" by the two defendants.

In another assault a victim was pushed and pulled, and told to "kiss the shoes" of the defendants.

A 14-year-old girl from Bridgend pleaded guilty to two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, two counts of common assault, and one count of blackmail.

A 13-year-old girl, also from Bridgend, pleaded guilty to two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, two counts of common assault, and one count of blackmail.

They are due be sentenced in May.
