Investigation under way after man raped

An investigation has been launched after a man was raped.
Northumbria Police said the victim, aged in his 20s, was attacked in an area near Pottery Lane in Newcastle, shortly before 02:00 GMT on 9 February.
It said it was looking for a man described as white, 6ft tall (1.83m), aged 30 to 40, with a tanned complexion and a stocky build, in connection with the attack.
The force said he was wearing a dark hooded top and had "a strong Geordie accent". Witnesses have been urged to contact police.
Det Con Jennifer Myles said: "If you do have any information - no matter how insignificant you think it may be - please do come forward."
The force said "extensive enquiries" have been ongoing, including a review of CCTV, to identify the person responsible.
It said it was particularly keen to speak to a potential witness, a man believed to be in his 40s, who was walking in the area at the time.
The victim continues to be supported by specialist officers, it added.
