Police are also appealing for witnesses or anyone who has information

Police have said they want to speak to a dog owner after a man was bitten while walking in Cheltenham.

Gloucestershire Constabulary said the victim - in his late teens - was walking along Greatfield Lane in Up Hatherley at around 19.30BST on Monday 7 April, when he passed a man with two German Shepherds walking in the other direction.

One of the dogs lunged at the victim and bit him on the leg, causing puncture wounds.

Officers have appealed for the dog owner to come forward and also want to speak to any witnesses or anyone who may have any information about the incident.

The dog's owner is described as white, middle-aged, around 5ft 8ins in height and of a medium build with grey-brown hair.

At the time of the incident he was wearing an orange jacket and was walking the dogs on rope leads.
