A car has been destroyed in a suspected arson attack in Londonderry.

The fire at Campion Court in the Gobnascale area of the Waterside was reported to police at 6.55 GMT on Friday.

There were no injuries but the police said the vehicle's owner had been left shocked and distressed.

Detectives have appealed for anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area or who has relevant footage to come forward.
