A man seriously injured in an alleged assault in Skegness has died, Lincolnshire Police has confirmed.

Sean Howson was taken to hospital from a property on Albany Road at about 20:25 BST on Thursday. The 56-year-old died on Sunday.

Aston Harris, 19, of Uffington Avenue, Lincoln, appeared at Lincoln Magistrates' Court on Monday charged with GBH and was remanded into custody to appear at Lincoln Crown Court on 4 August.

The force said its major crime unit was now treating the case as a homicide investigation.
