Guernsey milk and dairy exhibition announced

An exhibition highlighting the history of the Guernsey dairy and milk production on the island is set to open next month.
The display traces the evolution of the Guernsey Dairy from its origins to its modern production techniques.
As part of the exhibition, 'From the Field to Your Fridge' follows the journey of Guernsey milk, from cows in the field, through farms, to the dairy processing plant, and then into homes and to retailers.
To mark the opening of this new major exhibition on 12 April, Guernsey Museum will be holding a two-day event celebrating Guernsey's farming and growing industries.
Matt Harvey, senior curator, said: "The Guernsey Dairy team has been incredibly generous with their time and expertise, giving our Guernsey Museum curators access to all the behind-the-scenes to photograph and film.
"This means that people can visit the exhibition and experience every part of what goes into making these iconic and much-loved island products.
"Preparing for this exhibition has allowed us to put this fascinating process into the wider island context, including enabling us to begin this journey on the farms themselves, to include the important role that local farmers play in this island story."
