Suspected murder victim is named
A man who died after detectives said he was seriously assaulted has been named.
Ryan Burton died in hospital on Thursday, six days after police said he was assaulted in Spring Rise Park near Highfield in Kettering at about 19:00 GMT on 10 January.
Six men - four from Kettering aged 38, 24, 24 and 22, a 20-year-old from Desborough and a 24-year-old from Rothwell - have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Formal identification procedures had not been completed but detectives believed the 34-year-old was the victim, Northamptonshire Police said.
Det Ch Insp Johnny Campbell previously said: "We wish to extend our sincerest condolences to the victim's family and to reassure them, and the wider public, that we are doing everything we can to bring those responsible to justice."
The police force has urged anyone who might have more information to come forward and help them with inquiries.
Mr Burton was originally from Corby.
