Multi-venue indie festival comes to city
A new multi-venue music festival is coming to Wolverhampton this year.
The indie music event, called Feel the Noise, is set for 19 April after receiving £25,000 from the government to help stage it.
Acts such as The K's, The Clause, The Covasettes, Alex Spencer, and The Rolling People will perform across city centre venues including University of Wolverhampton at The Wulfrun Hall.
Councillor Chris Burden said the event would contribute to the existing "vibrant music scene that already exists in the city".
Purchasing a festival ticket will give access to all venues taking part, with a wristband allowing venue-hopping.
Mr Burden said: "It's all about positioning Wolverhampton as a destination of choice, attracting visitors, championing local talent, highlighting iconic venues and putting on an experience for residents and anyone visiting our city.
"As well as this, it's about creating opportunities for our young people who have an interest in this industry and want to take the next steps and kick start their own career."
Early bird tickets for the event start at £29.70 and can be bought from online vendors.
More venues are to be announced.
