A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in an assault in Londonderry.

It happened shortly before 02:20 GMT on Saturday in the Glenowen Park area of the city.

The police have said the man's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Detectives have appealed for anyone with information or with related CCTV or dashcame footage to come forward.
